Soo-Young sees Min Young at a crossing. She crosses over to his side and tries to ignore him but he drags her back. She tells him she ain't got the strength to fight him. But Soo praises her words back the the drinking saloon. She is skeptical. He says now that he has complimented her does she have her strength back? She says no. He asks if she want him to throw her in the air. She says no, but he should give her a knock on the head. He asks if she's regretting her actions. She says yes. Things would be even worse for her now. He invites her for a drink. She's reluctant, he proceeds to leave, she drags him back.

Hee Sun is working late, when her colleagues come in complaining about losing politicians and a story. She's curious.

Jung Yoon Hee, Seo Yoon Ki and Soon Joon Ha are having drinks, when Joon Ha's phone rings its Hee Sun looking for a story.

Min and Soo are at the beer palour. After a few awkward drinks they begin to chat. He asks why she's always angry and yelling. No one cares, not the politicians and certainly not the people. She replies that she wants to do her job diligently, but truthfully, wants to be recognised for her efforts. But she realises she does not help matters by being a shrieking harpy all the time. He says retire, she says she does not want to be like him running away before he accomplished anything. She asks why he got into politics. He replies it was the most foolish decision he's ever made. She reveals she saw him during his campaign, and wonders if all the promises he made then was a lie. He replies he's sure she's old enough to know that life does not go as planned. He asks her if her life is going as planned. She replies it's off the rails, man. He says to him, she's an unknown variable. She says she knows and starts to cry, saying they are both so pitiful. He realises she's a drunken crier, and she's toasted.

Rep Moon Bo Shik is having the weirdest massage. He has clothes on! He's complaining about work whilst periodically asking the masseuse if she understands Korean language to which she replies fluently 'No I don't'.

His phone rings and he asks the masseuse to get it. She does and he stares at her in shock. Didn't she just say she didn't understand him.[Didn't she just reply him in perfect Korean?] It's Hee Sun on the phone, he's happy to tell her what he knows, hoping to facilitate a meeting with her brother or her father.

Back at the beer kiosk, Min is crying about growing old alone. She complains about hating chicken feet, but she's apparently supposed to like it. He apologises for ordering it, and asks he what she's like. Steak? She wants some floury dish [¬.¬] He gets her what she wants.

Hee Sun and Bo Shik have dinner. Bo Shik gives her the low down on Min Young's blow out at the saloon, and how Soo Young sided with Min Young. He thinks everything if off the record, but we all know it ain't.

Soo takes Min home and meets Joon Ha and Bo Ri, Min's niece. She hugs Bo Ri and calls Joon Ha 'Oppa'. Soo's face is like 'Op-wha?!'

 Joon Ha takes Min inside, and tells Soo to wait. Bo Ri and Soo get into a childish argument.

 Joon Ha comes back but ignores Soo, who's like WTF?! Joon comes back and asks Soo what Hee Sun was on about. Soo says he's clueless. Joon tells him to ask Hee Sun what's up.

Pistols at midnight

Joon tells Soo to stay away from Min. Soo tells Joon to get a restraining order. Sang Soo wonders if they are going to duel. As Sang Soo drives Soo home, he complains that he wasn't invited out drinking with Soo and Min but he has to drive them home. Soo wonders out loud why Min calls Joon Ha 'Oppa'. Sang Soo tells him since he's so self absorbed he doesn't know that Joon Ha is Min's brother in law.

Daddykins Go Da Ryong is planning nefarious plans nefariously in the dark.

Nefarious

 He's getting an investigation done on Min Young. He somehow has a picture of Min Young, Joon Ha and their brother and sister under his desk mat. He flashes back to Min's Sister and Joon's brother's funeral. [It's boring. I don't understand what it highlights but whatevs.]

Soo waits for Hee Sun while reminiscing on his evening with Min.  Hee Sun runs up excited that he called her. He tells her to be objective with her article 'cos he knows she's skew it in favour of the GKP. She asks what happened but he does not wish to elaborate. While they were talking Yoon Hee drives by and sees them. Hee Sun tries to get a kiss. Soo remembers Min's sleeping face gets startled and fobs Hee Sun off.

'Kiss-Kiss?' 'No'

Hee Sun returns to work intending to kill the story but keep it aside for later. But her colleague tells her that the desk wants them to run it. GKP request. So it's out of her hands.

Soo thinks of Min all night.

 The next morning Min wakes up with a hangover. She remembers telling her spinster sod story. Did she flirt? Yep. Did she cry? Yep. She throws herself around on her bed in mortification. She tries to do damage control by texting him an apology but fights with the words.

Soo is jogging stylishly, and makes his route go past her house 'cos hey live close to each other. He stops in front of it pretending he's lost. He gets a text from her apologising for the previous night.

He texts her back saying apologies should be made the old fashioned way. She says okay. He says she should come to do it now. She surprised he's outside of her house. They chat, She apologises. He tells her Bo Ri is rude. She takes it as Bo Ri is confident [I take it as bad parenting] He says she too defenseless, she is lucky he is a gentleman. She says no one would deny that he's a conservative, authoritative, chauvinistic and old gentleman.[He could be a Betty Neels M&B hero!]

 He says since the world is full of women like her he feels responsible. She tells him she never gave him the right. He walks off upset.

In the house, Joon Has has arrived [How?] Min comes back in berating Soo. Joon Ha thinks she's talking about him. Min asks for a scolding for hanging out with Soo Young and the silliness she performed at the drinking saloon.  He tells her that if she goes on a rampage that undermines her work as a representative, he'll make her resign. And she should not hang out with Soo again [Jealousy]. Bo Ri pipes up that she's chased him away. Meanwhile Aunt is trying to set up another blind date but news of Min's outbursts are hampering her efforts. Try international, the woman suggests.

Back at the ant warren, Soo arrives at his office where Meng informs him that Min is competing with him for most derogatory nicknames. He realises that the shit is out and goes after Hee Sun.
 

Outside, Rep Ko Dong Sook, Min's second apologises for calling her to the saloon and gets scolded by the righteous Joon Ha, who leaves. As they talk Yoon Hee notices Soo Young and Hee Sun leaving the building. Yoon Hee mutters that the news was leaked on the internet, right?

Everyone follows Yoon's gaze to see the crazy pair leave. Dong Sook said it couldn't have been Soo who told the story since he sided with Min about the whole thing. But Yoon Hee insists she saw them chatting the night before. Min pipes up saying thought he's an annoying weird bloke, he's not ass-holey enough to leak the story.
Soo and Hee Sun get to their usual near-a-park-bench-under-the-tree meeting place. Soo rails into Hee Sun for putting out the story, biased as usual, when he begged her not to.  She replies that she was not going to but it was the GKP who wanted it. He angrily says she should have used her power as the president's daughter or whatever to put a stop to it. But retracts he statement, and asks if the GKP really wanted the story out there.

Sun Hee asks why he's so riled up, this is unlike him. Does he like Min Young? He denies it. But she asks in many word is he's a masochist. If that's what he likes she's dress up in leather and whip him. Soo replies he's only feeling sympathetic towards Min. She wonders if that's it. Soo shudders. She tells him he needs to apologise. He does. But she wants him to make it up to her; a date; day and duration are at her discretion.

The GKP are having a meeting. They want to punish Min Young for shaming them. But when it's comes to Soo Young, Daddykins is reluctant, and somehow convinces them.


The FPP [harlots] are scolding Min Young for shaming them by trying to shame her. From now on, they'll only be doing 'business' with the GKP. [Until the GKP teabags them again]

Soo tries to catch a glimpse of Min in her office. But she creeps up behind him

She asks what he wants. He says she looks fine. She replies that's good to hear, but what does he want. He claims to be passing by and walks off, but she stops him and asks him if there's something he needs to apologise for. He says he only feels slight tinges of empathy towards her. She asks why, he says because he was with her. He asks if he leaked the story. He is incredulous. She re-iterates. He replies that if he did it would he simply confess?And if he didn't, would she believe him? What matters is what she thinks. She apologies for misunderstanding.

He says this is why he doesn't like her political affiliations, the progressives, they like to believe they are always the victims. She asks what he means. He says she thinks she's the only one who can be right, they argue, he storms off. Back in his office, Sang Soo is having heart palpitations, Soo Young wants to release a statement saying he was with Min Young and they went on rampage together. . But Soo is upset with Min, so he tells Sang Soo to cancel it. And cancel every other thing in his diary. He goes into his office, slamming the door behind him.

Sang Soo wonders what's wrong with him now. Meng says, with a look of love on his face, that Soo has always been like that.[Oh Meng...]

 Soo and Min run into each other the rest of the week and he remains cutely petty.

 Moon Bo Shik and his aide[whose name I have not yet caught in my net] are discussing handshakes [Bo Shik is such a dweeb] in the lift.

 Min gets into the lift, and wonders out loud why Soo is bothering her [Wasn't their meetings coincidence?] Bo Shik asks her if she's talking about him, but she says she didn't even notice him absently [I have a feeling not noticing Bo Shik is going to get Min and Soo in trouble in the future.] He is affronted, but she's gotten off the lift.

Hee Sun and Soo are at the Only-Coffee-Shop-in-Seoul TM. She tells him she likes him. He says he doesn't feel the same.  She says she'll change his mind. [Thirsty]. He says that's her palaver but he will not abide by trickery and deceit [What? But that's a good amateur detective's secret weapon to get confessions!] She confesses she thought things would just fall into place once she realised she like him. He tells her conceit is the first step to delusion ville [If you ask me, she's a long time resident] She asks about Min, his hand stills while trying to drink his coffee. He says he hates all politicians.

'Do you think I'm shekshy?' 'No'

Sang Soo and Meng are having dinner when Soo returns from his date with Hee Sun. Sang Soo congratulates him while Meng says Hee Sun called several times to ensure he was going to be available. Sang Soo says while she's obsessive, she's rich and sexy so, JACKPOT!

He's incredulous that Sang Soo thinks Hee Sun is sexy. Soo [lately] believes sexy is when intelligence matches conviction [What the heck does that mean? That's a whole lotta bull. But hey I ain't the writer. I suppose he needs a reason to like Min Young than just the fact that her biology matches his.] He thinks of his encounters with Min, she yells at him in his imagination and he staggers in life. He wonders what's gotten into him. Is it the concussion?

Meng brings tea to have with him. Soo tells him he does not have to serve tea, but Meng says he enjoys doing this for him. They take a seat on the couches. While Meng serves the tea, Soo sighs and asks why life does not go according to plan ['Cos you ain't the only one in it, mate] . Meng asks to recite his favourite poem. Soo gives him the go ahead expecting a soliloquy, but it is short. It goes thus; 'I saw on my way down the flower I did not see on my way up' [I'm stealing it]. Soo doesn't get it [For realz?].

Meng explains that something are unseen when everything is going according to plan, but when things goes off the rails a new perspective opens up, and things that are unseen, the flower, become seen. [Which sums up he and Min exactly, I mean they are on the same floor round the corner from each other, and they haven't noticed each other till now. I suppose Soo used to go around with his nose in the air]

The GKP and the FPP are in the baths 'negotiating'.

Min Young is to be called to the Ethics Committee and it's on the news. Soo isn't pleased. When she's gets home she gets scolding by her aunt over getting into trouble again.

The next day she's before the ethics committee apologising but the GKP are not listening.

They are chatting amongst themselves Daddykins in pretending to nap. The leader of the FPP is dusting fluff off his shirt. Min sees this and gets angry and lambasts them. The reps are angry again [hypocrites]. Daddykins looks disappointed? I don't get it .

      Min and Soo's eyes meet, he looks worried for her. Hee Sun who only has eyes for Soo, notices. She leaves the room looking like a lamb amongst the wolves as the press try to get a story [Why the damsel in distress look, you just insulted 200 men, you should be on an adrenaline high still.] Joon Ha comes to rescue her.















When she gets home, Soo is waiting for her.

 Episode 4:
       A long time ago, [why they choose to do this flash back is beyond me but, we rolling] a bright fresh young thing is savouring the air of power in front of the house of reps. She is admiring her badge, when a car drives up  startling her, making her drop her badge.

As she's looking for it, shiny shoes step on the badge, ignoring the little person searching for her stuff he walks off. [He really did have his nose in the air.] She tries to get an apology but a-holes don't wait for peons. and she's stopped by guards. She shoes off her badge and is let through. Soo Young has his endgame in sight, and is informing his new staff of his new ethics. He begins making bad vibrations in his party and always getting scolded [I suppose that's why he doesn't send them anymore, he's immune to their BS], getting caught in intra- and inter- party fights.

 In the present time, Min is getting harassed by the press and gets rescued from it by Joon Ha, Soo is watching but he could not publicly do anything.

 He returns to his office annoyed by the whole thing, Meng and Sang Soo are in. He stops just before he enters his office and asks them what kind of politician he is, he doesn't think he's really suited to politics.

Sang Soo says he's too self-centred. Meng says he's inflexible and too opinionated. Sans Soo says he's a jerk and always rebelling. Meng says he's weird. He most certainly is not suited to politics. He's sulky but agrees. He remembers how Min was treated, and says that if he says he wants to change things to help SOMEONE, if he's behaving funny, they should curse him out [Dude, those are difficult parameters, you already behave funny]

Min's aunt is watching the news, she's berating and defending Min Young.

Min young drives home and sees the news on the way.

Soo is driving home, while listening to Bo Shik trash talk on the radio, and wonders if Min is crying again. He does a needless u-turn 'cos they fucking live near each other. He gets to her house and looks at it, his expression soft. He sees Min Young drive up and runs to hide. She reaches the gate, and he coolly walks up to her, asking is she's just getting home [cheesy but i love you Ha Kyun!]

She asks what he's doing at her house. He says that she looks fine, he thought she's be crying and regretting her words but she's fine. She asks again what he's doing there. Is he concerned for her? He denies that and he was more worried about himself. Okay, so why is he worried about himself in front of her house? He's so weird. He says he's only just become weird. She says he's always been weird. He asks if she's always seen him as a weird person. She's like wha? He asks what she thinks of him.

Hee Sun is walking through the ant warren corridors. She remembers Soo's look of love and worry at Min/ She sees Joon Ha, who does not want to talk to her but she's insistent. They begin walking down, and they talk about the responsibility of reporters and how Hee Sun is a terrible one, she's more biased than a bias-cut dress. She ignores that. [She lives by her own runs, man]
She tells him she has a suspicion but want to confirm it, he tells her to play by her own rules and ask directly that's how she rolls. She agrees.

Back at Min's, Min asks Soo what he's up to. He says he just want to know. She replied that she's never had an opinion of him. He says after everything that has happened, she should at least think he's a jerk. She does that. He gets frustrated. She asks why he's asking , he doesn't think much of her either.

 He replies, yes but not really. She asks of he came to provoke her. He says he come to confirm whether he's going crazy or not. She replies, he is crazy or drunk [or both] and sniffs he for alcohol. [Bad plan, dear, if you don't want to like the guy you are already attracted to but don't know it yet, don't sniff him]

Or just a wild guess, she tentatively asks, do you like...?

He interrupts her saying he's retiring so she should not stop him. She says oh that's what he wants. She taunts him with her phone, he fails miserably cos he doesn't want to body rush her

[This whole thing would be over if he just grabbed her by the arms, kissed her, and run off with her phone while she's distracted.] She says if he does not want them plastered over the internet for all those [incredibly stupid] netizens, he should keep his promise. He says he will, but she should not do anything to catch his attention, no getting bullied by the GKP. He moans he's crazy and runs into Aunt and Bo Ri who are looking at him funny. They deride him a little before he's let go. Joon Ha drives past Soo Young on his way out.

Hee Sun calls Soo Young and asks him is he likes Min Young and he nearly has a RTA.

Back at Min's home, Aunt and Bo Ri are discussing Soo and Bo Ri is playing on Min's phone. Joon Ha comes in and asks if they has a visitor, but as they try to reply Min blocks them while she denies it. But when she leaves to get a drink for Joon Ha, they tell on her, they agree that Soo Young is very immature. Bo Ri is snooping on Min's phone and finds Soo's nekkid pix. She gasps and barely covers her eyes. Joon Ha and Aunt get a gander.

Min Young comes back and grabs her phone. Aunt asks if she's sleeping with Soo. Since she's been so horny lately. Min Young regrets for the umpteenth time why did she ever tell her aunt, whose twisted her sex dreams to her own ends . Joon Ha is comically interested in this conversation [It's the only time I liked his face so far.] Min Young replies she's only having sexy times in dreams, stop twisting shit man. Joon Ha comically chokes on his drool in excited embarrassment. Min explains why she has the pictures. Joon Ha makes her transfer the pix.

Hee Sun and Soo Young meet up at a pub. She is triumphant? she's hit bulls eye. He says so what. She says they can't be together, they are like Romeo and Juliet. He stuffs her mouth with cucumbers to get her to shut up. He says Min Young doesn't like him so there's nothing to it.

Joon Ha is home, and thinks about Soo Young's pictures. He doesn't like it.

In bed Min thinks of Soo, but shakes it off. Soo is at home looking lonely.

 Back at the ant warren, the GKP are wondering what to do with Min Young. But Daddykins tells them to leave it be, nonchalantly[But I don't understand why]. But then they inform him that Soo Young's staff are trying to get signatures for Min Young's bills. Daddykins gives orders to cock-block that. After the meeting, Daddykins pulls Bo Shik aside to keep an eye on Soo Young who readily accepts [He's such a brown nosing dogsbody]

The GJP posse discussing Min's current notoriety, The discussion moves to Soo and the signatures. No one's seen him for a week, but his staff are doing the work for him. She leaves her office and looks curiously at Soo's offices.

Soo is at home, looking like truly he hasn't slept for days [Very method] solving a jigsaw puzzle when his door bell rings.

 












He checks the camera and sees only flowers. He asks who it is but they don't reply, he thinks its Ahn Hee Sun. He opens the door to find Meng. [This guy could play a mild mannered assassin]. As Soo makes coffee, Meng asks looks worriedly at him 'cos Soo really looks like shit. Meng asks what's up with Soo. Soo says he's been sorting his head out. They go to sit. Meng asks why. He asks why Meng is so inquisitive Meng relies cos when you love someone you are curious about them. And he's very curious about Soo.

Soo says Meng's love is quite consuming. With so many things to learn in this world why is he so curious about one person.  If everyone walked around with stars in their eyes, nothing would get done. So he's proud of himself for sorting his head out. Meng asks, so he's been sorting his love life out. Soo replies, no more like interests. Or more like hormones? Meng asks who's the lucky lady. Soo says it doesn't matter. Meng says how can it end before it began. Soo says no good can come one his love, he doesn't want to end up like Romeo and Juliet. Meng laughs and says the tragedy of Romeo and Juliet was all down to bad planning. [True.] Soo laughs and agrees. Meng says he's happy that Soo is smiling, that is love without interest. Soo asks about the signatures. Meng says they have been unsuccessful. Soo says no matter, he's do it himself.

He returns to his dapper self. On the steps of the ant warren, he meets Joon Ha, and he tells Joon Ha he does not want to see him or Min anymore. He leaves Joon Ha and runs into Daddykins, which puts him in worse mood. He's rude to him. Bo Shik tries to scold him for being disrespectful. Soo tells Bo Shik he's a creativity killer.













Soo meets Dong Sook and Yoon Ki in the elevator. Donk Sook is cordial, but Soo tells her she's over done the perfume. She makes Yoon Ki sniff her, he chokes. Soo says she's damages her sense of smell with too much perfume.

Sang Soo tells Soo that he's increased his jerk factor by a 100. He's being a terrible human being. He replies that Sang Soo is too useless to have opinions. Soo tries hard to get signatures but no dice. Bo Shik hears that Soo is trawling by himself and his looking forward to his turn with fantasies. But Soo Young blanks him out as usual.

Soo Young runs into Min Young and Dong Sook who have been chatting about him and his quest for the signatures so he can retire, and he's  been bullying everyone.
 Min meets Soo, in a corner and tells him not to bother anymore. She can get the signatures from independent parties. She only wanted him to do it cos he was a radical GKP, and GKP signatures will get the bills passed. But getting the signatures was beyond him. She also says he should not worry about the bulling rumours. He says he's not bothered they are just jealous of his awesomeness. She laughs and he's mesmerised. He says she should not act like they are friends, he's cut her off. And walks off.

 Back in her office, Yoon Hee gives Min her prepared questioning for the upcoming interrogation of a minister. Min Young asks Yoon Hee is someone says we're not friends anymore I've cut you off.  Yoon Hee says that it could mean, 'I liked you, but now I don't'...? Min says 'Right?' but that could not be. She nearly walks into Joon Ha, but carries on with her musings. He guesses who's said that to Min.

Soo Young finds Hee Sun trying to get info on Soo from Sang Soo. He kicks her out and punishes Sang Soo. He goes into his office and gets a text from Joon Ha to meet for coffee

Joon Ha and Soo meet for coffee. They get into a little kerfuffle on who pays. At the table. Joon Ha tells him to stay way from him and Min Young, he has the pictures and he's not afraid to use them. Soo is comically melodramatically upset. As Joon Ha leaves he suggests swimming 'cos Kendo is keeping Soo looking so scrawny. [I also recommend a little bit of sun time].

Soo, with great drama, avoids Min. While she wonders, what is up with him.

























The day of the conference arrives. Bo Shik is getting his hair styled when his aide gives him his complimentary questions., but he doesn't read it. He finishes with the barber and goes out, on his way he meets Dong Sook with a tacky hairstyle that is a feminine version of his. They insult each other as usual.

In the auditorium. Bo Shik remembers he left his questions and gets his aide to get it for him. On the way the Aide and Min Young bump into each other and mix up their questions.

 Bo Shik goes first. Dong Sook are making fun since they know he's only going praise the 'hard work' of the minister.

But he starts to read out something different from the laid script and does not even realise it. Dong Sook and Min Young quickly realise that the questions have been mixed, but he's just carrying on. Meanwhile, Soo is not listening but drawing a monster caricature of Min. It's Min's turn and she reads out Bo Shik's ass kissing 'questions'. It's another criticism of the GKP, Soo is listening now and he's getting turned on.

 [There's no other way to explain the glazed look in his eyes as he rubs his chest.]  Afterward Bo Shik is given a press conference explaining his faux pas. Soo passes through in daze. Bo Shik beats up his aide, then goes on to blame Dong Sook and Min Young. He is so angry that he's been made a fool of, he makes his insults to Dong Sook personal. Min threatens him with a fire extinguisher. He runs off.


 













Soo Young is still at work in a daze. Meng comes to ask why he's not gone home yet. Soo asks why squid have legs and octopi have arms. Meng asks if all this time that's what he's been thinking about? Yes, Min replied, is that weird. he wants more bookings outside of the ant warren so he doesn't have to see Min.

His first appearance is an opening and Min is there. He tries to escape, but he's been spotted. They greet each other politely. She asks why he's glowering. He says because she broke her promise.

As they day goes on, her effect on him grows. When they are heading back, Soo asks Sang Soo to cancel all bookings that coincide with Min. Sang Soo thinks Soo Young is still angry with Min and calls him the King of Grudges , but he can't cancel the radio show.

Bo Shik apologises to Daddykins and calls him father. It's all very embarrassing for both of them.

Soo Young, Sang Soo and Meng are having lunch. Meng says thinking about Soo's love problem: If interest don't match, find a way to change that. If it's hormones, then it's not a bad thing. Soo tells him to keep a lid on it the walls have ears. Meng replies that they wont understand the discussion anyway. Sang Soo wonders what they are on about. Meng is also very curious about the 'flower' Soo has fallen for, so much so it's keeping him up at night. Soo replies it's no flower. Well maybe it's flower but a poisonous one with thorns. Meng is even more curious. Hee Sun appears like a nosy parker she is.

As Soo drives Hee Sun home, she tells him not to lose his mind over Min [Too late] he goes home looking lonely.

In the morning, Soo gets to the radio station early. He's keeping an eye out for Min.

Hee Sun goes to see Joon Ha and interrupts him at his work. [Rich pesky rude girl] She invites him out for coffee. She tells him Soo Young likes Min Young. She wants him to keep Min Young from Soo.[¬.¬] He must do this 'cos he owes her. He ignores this like a human being with common sense and leaves. She chases after him and asks if Min Young is the woman he was in love with while they were dating. He doesn't reply, but she says she knows anyway 'cos he left his promising career to be her adviser. [Who sent him message] He says he can't be with he because Min Young want to be a politician [That's why you're the loser, mate] She says she hates Min Young, Joon Ha agrees.

Back at the radio stations, Min finally appears. She looking a little untidy [Not really, the can't even make her hair have fly away strands or put some kiddy paint on her face for realism].
