  ‘At the end of summer, there is a mission to go to the northern border with the national knights. Geist is a chase wolfe of the northern forests so it is a right fit.’ ‘Is something wrong? ‘No, um…Geist is my beast. I have to go with him. So I will be away from then until winter, maybe more.’ Gone till November?

    ‘I’m holding on. Let’s get to the brigade at full speed!’ I only knew how fast a grall horse worse from documentation. I never imagined what it would be like on it at full speed. The horse understood and speed up, and kept speeding until the streets were a blur. Air rushed into my mouth as we went. I could pinch the horse’s body with my legs because they weren’t strong enough, I could only entwine the reins around my arm and lean down to hold on to its main. The horse jumped over people as we went. I heard someone should I angrily, I could only apologise to the wind. ‘Safety first,’ I said to the horse, ‘We don’t want any accidents!’   Decisive Battle!

 From where we stood, there was a terrible sound of the cage being battered down. ‘The wolfe is going crazy!’ The building seemed to rock with the impact as well, with the ceiling lamp shuddering with each bang. It had begun. The staff ran towards us, calling for Mr Cranbert. ‘Sir, the beast!’ ‘Permission to use a sedative.’ ‘It’s impossible, we can’t get close!’ ‘Sir, Mr Cranbert!’ Wasn’t it just a mess? Despite having anti-rampage weapons, the staff were sitting on their hands. ‘Try to take it down quickly with our strongest sedative!’ Cranbert commanded as he rushed past me back in the direction of the den, but there was such an awful howl from I don’t know what beast it was that made everyone crouch down and cover their ears with their hands.   ‘It’s all right! Let’s go right away. The chase wolfe is in the same facility, we can kill two birds with one stone.’ Mr Cranbert replied loudly. Lucas narrowed his eyes at the man, Mr Cranbert was sweating profusely now. Chris didn’t seem to get it. ‘We have to make sure that the implantation is successful, is that okay?’ ‘Yes, I have to witness it.’ Mr Cranbert looked shocked, did Chris not tell him what I did? ‘We would like one cub from the litter. I think that is a reasonable price for this?’ ‘But we are offering a lot of money…’ ‘I don’t need money. One cub; surely, that is cheaper for you in the long run.’ Lucas said waving the bottle in front of Mr Cranbert’s eyes. His eyes swung with the bottle. ‘If all goes well.’ Cranbert seemed to have done the calculations in his head and nodded. He rose with a flourish, ‘Let’s head to the facility!’ Eye of the tigerrrr~

      Lately, I feel as though Lucas was hiding something. For a while now, I have been coming to the Rejude stables to play with Geist after work…I mean I have been coming to check on his condition. It’s a pity I can’t play in his fluffy coat because of the estrus. Even so, Geist seems to be doing much better and he is often out of his bed. On the part of the female chase wolfe, nothing has been heard, at least that is what Lucas tells me when I ask him.  Flying into the fire

    ‘The man who picked you up a few days ago was from the Rejude Brigade, right?’ ‘None of your business. But you seem to enjoy doing vulgar things like peeping at others,’ ‘Me? Vulgar? You must be out of your mind. I just came to tell you that it was noted.’ Clyde said as he pushed up his glasses. Did he think he looked cool doing that? What a dunce. ‘You guys are being careless. It doesn’t matter who you get along with, but if you’re going to be with that guy, others will think that you will give them leeway.’ ‘Are you mad? What part of my evaluations and inspections show that I give anyone “leeway”?’ He was out of his mind, insulting my work. I glared at him. Clyde scoffed, ‘Even if you don’t, others will think that you do. You’re an inspector. Being involved with people we are duty bound to oversee undermines the trust.   ‘Lucas, how far are we going? Why don’t we get a hackney?’ I asked but he tucked me up against a wall and looked down at me seemingly annoyed. ‘What’s wrong?’ I asked. ‘I shouldn’t have involved you. I’m sorry. I never imagined he would be involved.’ ‘Do you mean Chris?’ ‘I don’t think that he’s just a visitor. I don’t think it would be good for you to carry on with this.’ I suddenly understood, and nodded. Was it awkward because of Chris? Lucas didn’t have to worry about it, I personally thought it was an opportunity for us. ‘I don’t think you…should be involved if Chris is involved.’ ... A Date

  ...I saw at the edge of my vision. ‘Was that Chris?’ On the other side of the fence, I saw my ex-boyfriend, Chris. There was no mistaking his slender figure in a sleek suit and his well-groomed brown hair. But why was he here? More importantly, I shouldn’t let him see me. Was Chris also wanting a beast? He was getting married to that girl, perhaps he wanted a beast as a wedding present for his wife. I found a corner to hide behind but could still spy from. He was alone, which made me relieved. I didn’t want to meet some woman and have to have words. A fat man came forward to greet Chris. ‘Welcome, Mr Danning.’ ‘Mr Cranbert, I’ve been looking forward to this day.’ ‘I hope everything meets your satisfaction.
