The PLAYERS:

Kim Soo-Young and No Min-Young [Writers sure do love that '-Young']

Tha' HATERS:

Ah Hee-Sun [Little Miss] in 'love' with Soo-Young
Song Joon Ha [Who thinks this dude is good-looking?]

Go Dae-ryong; the boss of the GKP aka Daddykins.

The REST:

Maeng Joo-ho the 'Pusher' and Kim Sang-Soo the 'Annoying Younger Brother'

Moon Bong-Sik and Ko Dong-Sook [These two need a 'hot springs' sign.]

This is the drama that solidified the blog idea that had been brewing for about a year or so.

The episode opens to out Hero self wanking as he writes a speech lambasting party politics. [Floppy hair does it for me. Floppy hair and handsome wrinkles, my heart goes *shink-dugun*]
We shift to the televised debate between the members to the two leading political parties the GKP [in English] which are the major and the minor. Kim Soo Young, our floppy haired hero, is taking everyone to task including his own colleagues [He scoffs a lot and throws his hair around and I'm gelling]. He finds he has a loose button on his cuff [Unlike normal people, he does not know how to pull a tread], and spend weirdly too much time distracted by it. He gets asked a question by an audience member who says she once idolised him but he went and joined the Conservative GKP and she was disappointed. So she asks why GKP? When he was such a cool left wing. He looks pissed and tells her she's rude mumu and she replied that he is not the man he respected anyway. The moderator tries to appease, but he changes his mind and answers. He's a swinger. He'll swing leftist or rightist if they were rolling with ideas he agreed on.Then he goes on to tell her that though she might be academically smart, she obviously was not a critical thinker [This part is boring as paint drying. All K-drama heroes are insulting assholes. Kim Soo Young is a major hottie!] Anyhoo he rants and insults the donsaeng, and his party members, the other conservative party and the PLP. Especially calling the even more minor Progressive Labour Party, crazy haired demons [LOL]. Anyhoo, the hullabaloo ends in a media frenzy. He races into his car with his assistant Sang-Soo who really talks to him like a younger brother call him 'Hyung'; with respect but little reticence. They drive off and do not realise they are being chased by Hee Sun, who chases and chases and chases the car. [It was quite amusing in the fact that she didn't give up!] The car only stops because Soo Young announces he wants to resign from being a Representative. Hee Sun catches up and asks for an interview [She is a pest who exasperates everyone]

Soo-Young gently fobs her off by leaving her on the side of the road.

The parliament are apparently at a standstill regarding a media control law. The minions have been tasked with sitting in the corridors whilst the Reps play go stop and fix their make up and nails. And practice how they'll pretend they've been battling it out over the media law.

The three leaders appear amidst a media melee the GKP headed by Go Dae-Ryong, they spew their obviously fake nonsense, except for the leader of the Progressive Labour who is passionate and is only being followed by one reporter who leaves Min-Young mid-rant to go and interview Soo-Young for his red-eyed demons comment.

Meanwhile, Adviser Meng informs Soo-Young, over the phoneo, that since he was checking others but did not check himself he was being dubbed Chew-it-all [LOL. Little things amuse me.] by the netizens [I hate that word]. Soo-Young rants, Adviser Meng [Who I like already; so full of dry wit] reads all the terrible internet troll comments. Sang-Soo tells him that the GKP upper posse are summoning him, but he's like 'tell them I've run away'. Except Sang-Soon and Meng are having none o'that. Min-Young is advertising a tablet and watches Soo-Young's rant at the debate and is understandably incensed. But she's shouting like a market woman in the hallowed halls of parliament. And her aide Jung points this out saying it's not hard to believe she's being called a demon since all her eye blood vessels are popping. But Min-Young has come to realise in these crazy hallowed halls, kind has to be repaid in kind or she'll be labelled as a 'mumu'. To fight monsters one must become...a monster?! Am I a monster? She asks Jung. Jung nicely says 'somewhat'. Min-Young is unrepentant. Jung reminds her she was once called 'Mother Theresa' because she was so serene when she first became a Rep. They arrive at the scene of minion mayhem, and her eyes alight on the serene man who sits reading beside his konked out colleague. Jung says she'll take over from him and let the glasses guy accompany her to the radio talk she was giving, since glasses guy, Joon Ha, was the only one who could keep her calm.
He is supposed to be a hottie. Riiiiight ¬.¬
Min flashed back. Joon Ha is an awesome sauce human rights lawyer, but he gave up his job to become her Adviser. As they drive to the radio station, Min tells Joon he is wasted working as an adviser. But he is not leaving her. They joke about 'cos they are close and she calls him 'Oppa'. He advises her on how to react to questions about Soo's insult. She takes with a cheerful smile.

Meanwhile, Soo is reading all his troll comments and gets upset. He takes out his bokken and starts to practice Kendo, daring anyone to come and try and take him. Sang Soo texts him to listen to Min-Youngs interview. He grumbles but is intrigued and switches on his radio. Min-Young is insulting him, and he returns to sender. She calls him an alien and he rages. But then she moves on and starts spewing something about Picasso and other 'deep' stuff and Soo is impressed,
Soo goes to the sauna, he's thinking about Min's speech. Even though he listened with rapt attention he calls her cheesy [heh]. A shady character comes in with a rolled up newspaper, scaring Soo, making him remember the internet threats. Soo attacks but it turns out to be Adviser Meng bringing cool drinks. [They talk about netizens like they are separate from actual human beings. Then again, people do abandon their humanity on the the internet] He asks Meng how he found him. Meng replies 'when you are in love you just know'. Meng hands Soo a canned drink but the ring breaks as Soo tries to open it. Soo jitters at this; it's the second sign of bad luck he has got this week. The first being the loose button in his cuff.

The GKP are planning to pass the media 'cock-blocking' bill behind everyone's backs. They hatch a sneaky plan to get past the blockades the other two parties have put up.

They distract the FPP with talks of negotiation and apologies. They lie to everyone that due to Soo's word vomiting they were going to postpone the passing of the bill. The FFP, harlots that they are, break their alliance with PLP. It's all front page pix and everyone relaxes except for Min-Young, who is not in the market for bullshit. Back in the PLP offices, Rep Ko is bemoaning her skin, Min thinks something smells like baendengi. She insists on staying alert, Go teases her and she 'breaks' a pen . Min gets a call from her aunt who is trying to marry her off. She is standing up a blind date but because of the the sitch she remain in place. Soo-Young gets a text telling him where they are meeting. He goes there bold as brass while the other GKP blokes are sneaking through back corridors. Min-Young's aide catches Soo going into the room and gets Min over. She drags the press behind her, and they go and storm the beaches of  conference room 245. Soo is inside thinking wondering where the rest of the party is and loses patience, but when he tries to leave he finds the door is locked. Min and the rest of the minor rabble arrive and start banging the door. Soo is confuzzed. Min spies a fire extinguisher. The bad guys enter the main conference hall with ease. Min carries the fire extinguisher to the door. Everyone stares at her in shock [It looks like a CO2 one, but she's carrying it like its a Water one¬.¬] The gavel bangs and the bill is passed, Min readies her 'ram'. Soo finally opens the door and takes a fire extinguisher to the face. He spins around like a Hanna Barbera cartoon before fainting [They just needed a few mirage birds and stars to complete that]. The press is there to see the Act of Violence [dun dun dun!!!]

Not the face!
Heaven, here I come.

[Of course in the press releases we get perfect pictures from angles which no 'members of the press' were standing]
The press have field day, 'Assault' and 'Battle of the Sexes' are thrown about as Soo-Young is wheeled very publicly to the hospital. . Min goes into hiding on the roof hyperventilating ¬.¬ [why don't people go to the basement, if they really want to be alone] Joon Ha goes to look for her and reassures her. Minority parties are unrepentant, he reminds her. So she gives the 'no regrets' speech to the press. When he gets there, he's awake and looks fine. But he drives his large medical team to exasperation with his hypochondriac tendencies, while Sang-Soo just looks embarrassed for him. Though he's well he's not allowed to leave the hospital. Hee Sun, the sloppy reporter, catches Min Young. She's extra peevish cos Min just smacked down her man. Joon Ha and Min just tell her to buzz off, politely. She goes home and gets scolded for the 'assault' on Soo Young and missing the blind date. No that she laying the smackdown, men would be afraid to marry her. Is she abnormal? Doesn't she want sex? Min's like I get some in my dreams, you know, near my period and stuff. Her aunt gives her several smacks.

but the news changes and the doctor is telling Korea, that Soo Young's condition is bad, very bad he even has PTSD. Soo is watching this and wondering why they are blowing it out of proportion, he feels fine. Or is he not? While he and Sang Soo are talking, Hee Sun drops in [:-/] Soo Young is displeased she ignored the Do Not Disturb sign, but she ignores that and stokes the fires of hate between him and Min Young.

As for Min Young, she denies that her girly arms could cause internal bleeding and PTSD [I'm surprised she was able to carry the 'fire extinguisher'] but her aunt and niece don't believe her.

The next morning she gives her press conference. She takes a tough stand, highlighting the fact the the GKP sneakily brought the media law to pass, so why should she apologise to the GKP or Kin Soo Young. She is asked what if he sued? [Like they lurve to do] And she replies that he was in the Marines as well as a supposed Kendo master, why couldn't he dodge? Is he lying about all his awesomeness? Soo Young is watching and gets annoyed. He's going to have it with her now, but Sang Soo tells him he can't since Soo walking around looking his healthy dapper self would show the world the the GKP are big fucking liars. Sang Soo and Soo Young grapple, but Sang Soo easily grabs him by the waist, and drags him to the bed. As they grapple suggestively, their GKP leader walks in.
.

Go Da Ryong tells Soo Young that normally he's not worth much more than a number but now with all this wonderful publicity his worth has shot up. So he should just put up, shut up and take one for the team. Soo Young's attitude to Da Ryong is cold and fearless, he never ass-kisses. I like it. Long story short, Da Ryong tells him that keeping mum for now would mean that he wouldn't look like a pussy if he resigns later, but he'd look like one if he resigns there and then. Soo Young sees the truth in that, he's not happy about it.

Min Young is harassed by Hee Sun again. They have words about each other's integrity all cattily. Hee Sun tells Min that Soo Young is on his death bed or close to it. Min Young is unsure but tells Hee Sun, she ain't got time for that. Hee Sun leaves in a huff. But Min starts to feel guilty. She gets a call that her niece Bo Ri got into a fight. Jooh Ha rushed over to the school, where Bo Ri and the pair she beat up are being punished [Their punishments are the same as schools in Nigeria, though I doubt she's have been allowed to run into her guardians arms like that]

She scolds Bo Ri, [I need to learn Korean sometime 'cos some of these parts were unsubbed] I think they were making fun of Min Young and the extinguisher incident, which was why Bo Ri had fists with them. Min Young goes to her room remorse filling her more and more. She remembers her sister and when she won her election and how she was so innocent and blah blah.

Song Soo is feeding Soo Young when Min Young calls, Sang Soo answers Soo Young grabs the phone and hangs up. The wonder why she's calling. She calls back, and they answer. And she asks about Soo Young's condition, they trick her into believing she's done permanent damage.

So she runs to the hospital to confirm and sneaks past the press.

Soo Young is restless and tired of being in the hospital. So he takes Sang Soo's clothes and tries to sneak out. Min Young catches him in the act.

He runs but she eventually catches up with him conveniently in the stairwell. She want to take him to the press so he can put an end to the silliness. But he ain't got time for that. He tries to leave, she grabs in by the shirt and pops all the buttons. He pushes her but she nearly does a header. Min Young does not want want to be accused of revenge murder so he grabs her. And she ends up with her lips on his chest.
Lurve Infection Spit Delivered!
He is disgusted [For now], and decided he need a shower, but she still wants to drag him to the press. He protest about it, does she want him to meet the press with his ruined shirt?!

She agrees, and takes voyeuristic pictures instead.

She threatens him with the pictures. He tries to get the phone back but she drops it into her boob pocket where he dares not reach for. She want to have a conversation but his shirt is open so she goes to find a stapler to put it back together.[He's cute in this part.] They got to a quiet park to chat.

On the way Hee Sun sees them.

She asks for permission to insult him. He refuses. She does it anyway. He falls for her a little. She says she's forgive him and delete the pix if he'll cooperate with her. But he's like I don't care, I'm resigning but because of her he can't right now. She says if he wants to resign he needs to pay the people who voted for him back with money. But he ain't got no money for that. So she asks for his help with her bills, she only needs nine votes but she's got only two seats [:-(] With his help, her simple bills can be passed and he can resign in peace. He asks why, she give her 'suicide is the biggest killer speech' to sad music.

Meanwhile back at the ant warren, the GJP get photos of the room the bill was passed in. Attendance had been taken for people who were not there like Kim Soo Young.
Min gets a call about the pix, and tells Soo to think about it. But he must agree or she'll spread his pix on the net. He makes a last ditch attempt at it, but she's faster. And he slumps in a cute melodramatic way, while she runs off.
The GJP get together and discuss the implications of the implicating photo. They agree to give a press conference about it and hope for that the bill can be revoked.
Soo gets back to the hospital and meets a cleaning lady.
After an awkward moment, he asks her if life is hard. The lady dumps all her problems on him. Hee Sun gets him away from there.  They go back to his room. Hee Sun grills him about Min Young who she didn't see properly. He complains it's Hee Sun's fault he's in a mess right now but does not elaborate. She says no matter 'Don't cheat on me' [I'm like what?] He just tells her to get out. Soo Young and Sang Soo wonder if Soo Young is dating Hee Sun without knowing it. Sang Soo bemoans his shirt.  Soo Young dismisses his distress and asks about the day of the stolen bill and why was he the only one who was given the wrong info [[Because they knew you'd ruin it] But he's so posey, petty and hawt with a sizzle, I really think I'm in love this time. I haven't felt this way since Jo Guk]]

Back at home, Min Young writes her press release. Then decides to review her blackmail selcas

[It's a refreshing change from the muscle bound Korean actor dudes we get to see all the time. It's also nice to see a man confident with his body without the requirements of abs and spray tan. He is quite pale.] She makes fun of his lack of a six pack, but finds herself riveted, zooming in for a closer look at his man nerps. She catches herself and tosses her phone, wondering what's come over her [Lack of sex?]

In the hospital, Soo is having a nightmare. He wakes up to find Meng by his side with flowers. [Have I said I like Meng? I like Meng. Jang Kwang and Shin Ha Kyun work well together].

Soo asks Meng why he was there, Meng replies he cannot start the day without seeing Soo's face, and goes to put the flowers in a vase. Soo says he needs to leave the hospital. Meng agrees and says he's glad. There are a lot of politicians like Soo Young who go in and out of jail because the did what their party wanted. Telling lies to get re-elected and doing the same thing all over again. Soo asks if he thinks Meng thinks he's going to jail. Meng replies that he's just giving advice. Sang Soo bursts in, saying there going to be a law suit. Soo asks who is suing who. Apparently Soo is suing Min!

Min Young and her team are on the way to their press conference. Jung tells her that Moon Boo Shik of the GKP is having his press conference first. They think it's a mad scramble to cover the GKP's ass. Min's phone rings and it's Soo telling her to ignore what ever she hears and not do anything rash. He's not suing her. He hangs up before she can ask what the deal is. The over the tanoy [heaven know why], she hears Rep Moon Bo Shik announcing that Soo Young was going to sue Min Young. Apparently, the GKP are acting on behalf of Soo Young who is currently too ill. A complaint is going to be filed against Min Young to the the Ethics Committee.  PLP get to the press room and the press asks Min Young what's she going to to about the GKP's actions against her. Before she can reply, Rep Moon complains about them being there, and calls her ill-mannered. One of the reporters asks about Kim Soo Young's illness, there have been rumours that his injuries are greatly exaggerated. Moon says the rumours are crap, why would Kim Soo Young hid just because he was hit by a girl.

Back at the hospital, Soo is watching the press conference, as Bo Shik is calling him is close and dear friend who feels Soo's pain and anguish, and his cold side comes into play. He's tired of obeying the party and he's going back to work. Meng is happy about it, Sang Soo is skeptical. He asks Sang Soo if he found out who sent the decoy text. It was Bo Shik. Bo Shik finishes his press conference, and taunts the PLP. They ask him to wait and listen to theirs, but he's not interested.

As he and his aide congratulate themselves on a job well done, Min Young's conference plays over the tanoy. Bo Shik and his aide scramble back to to the press room, where Min is revealing GKP treachery.
Min and the gang congratulate themselves on a job well done. Whilst the GKP are shitting their pants. How was the picture taken and who took it?

Soo Young arrives and adds more oil to the fire.

Min Young is stepping out when the press see her too and she notices Soo Young.

The press hound them with more questions. The meet up and he tells her he agrees to her proposal. The press ask what was that about. He claims that he was telling Min Young he had no intention of suing her, it was an accident and all is forgiven. But they still 'hate' each other's guts. Hee Sun looks on, annoyed.

Meanwhile, the GKP posse are playing the blame game. They need to bury their faux pas with something else. So they decide to find a scandal on one of the reps to top this. Someone comes up with a rumour that Go Da Ryong has an illegitimate child somewhere, another cosigns. Moon is intrigued. The last chastises them, they need to find scandals on others not one of their own, ya bumbling idiots.

The Idiot Brigade
Moon's aide runs in to inform them that Soo has landed.Moon's like say wha...!

Sang Soo is wondering what's going on in Soo Young's brain. First revenge now forgiveness. Soo Young only says he has a plan. On the way they meet Go Da Ryong, who is surprised to see him after their convo, but ignores Soo. Soo follows Do into the GKP offices where the idiot brigade attack him for his recent comments on them. He replies that they are shameless. Which gets Daddykins [Da Ryong is Daddykins] attention. Soo goes on to say, it was bad enough that he had to pretend to be unwell, but they had to add proxy voting and lawsuits to the whole murky mess. They were all too thick-skinned and needed a chemical peel, if they could not see what they did wrong. And with that toodles.

The FPP [harlots] are back to the side of the PLP. They are chastising Min Young and the gang for their actions. Rep Ko Dong Sook, Min Young's second in the party, replies that if they had told them of their discovery it most certainly would have leaked to the GKP. The FPP want to go to war, but the PLP want to get back to working on their bills and projects. At the same time the GKP are thinking the same thing as the FPP [Same side of the same coin]. The GKP decide to stage a protest, but they turn to the Idiot brigade to do the actual protesting.

Hee Sun in in Soo Young's office complaining about him forgiving Min Young. Why didn't he consult her? Aren't they special to each other? Soo replies no. She say well they are from the same uni. Soo tells her that's tacky [It is] She's a desperado, too thirsty for her own good. Meng comes in with beverages. Soo asks why he's serving drinks, Meng tells him the others are out of the office. The 'ladies' are visiting. Soo looks part disgusted part terrified. The ladies scare him.

Min Young and Dong Sook are walking down the corridors discussing the FPP. Dong Sook is all about playing the game because they need the FPP support else they might as well be independents [FPP support is like holding up your house with noodles, in my opinion]. Dong Sook leaves and Min Young is on her way back to her office when she spies Soo being dragged by the Ladies. Min calls to him saying she needs to speak to him but notices the Ladies and decides to bail instead. The ladies see and realise who she is and nab her. They start to bully Min, and Soo Young is enjoying it. The ladies try to make Min apologise to Soo, but she's reluctant 'cos he's GKP and they started it.

So there. The harassment intensified and Soo is now looking worried. He tries to put an end to the silliness with reason but these are post menopausal Korean biddies getting their jollies off they ain't gonna listen. The queen biddy tries to slap Min, but Soo stops her and yells at the woman to apologise to Min

After the incident, Soo meets Min in a not so secret secret place. He taunts her for letting the old biddies manhandle her, but she claims she's used to being bullied being a progressive leftist. She hands him the laws she wants passed, he say he can do as she asks but he will review if first. She's okay with that. Her aunt calls in the middle of this, the guy she stood up at the last blind date still wants to meet. Aunt is surprised but isn't unhappy, even if she thinks blind date guy is crazy for wanting to meet Min. Min agrees with her aunt her blind date is crazy and tries to ring off, but her aunt stops her, she must go on the date this time or she's cleaning, cooking or watching Bo Ri for her again. This is her last chance. Min says, "isn't the guy mental, why do you want me to date him?!" She moves away so Soo won't hear her but he hears 'date' and surreptitiously moves closer.

Her aunt counters, saying isn't she the one who wanted to have sex? Min said when. Her aunt said, you've also been dreaming about it. She must be desperate for it. Soo is eavesdropping earnestly now. Min replies that the dreams only happened once in a when she's ovulating on her period [someone is confused here, but whatever]. Soo is finding this greatly amusing, Min remembers him and ring off. She accuses him of eavesdropping. He claims his ears are sensitive. He doesn't care as long as it's not him she dreams of. She claims she'd never be interested in him.

Therefore, he says, in order to prevent such a thing, she must not look at his nekkid pictures. She has a shifty gaze telling him not to worry but he realises it's too late. She says no matter how you look at it, there's nothing to see. He asks how many times she's looked. He tries to get the phone back, but she's fast.
He leaves in a huff, rubbing on his chest where she kissed him. She is all huffy too [why?] and wants to delete the pics but does not [sho...?]
Hee Sun is trying to stir shit. This time with Joon Ha who like Soo Young was also her sunbae at Uni. Why have Min and Soo made up so easily? Do they have a secret deal going on? Well it's not journalistic integrity that is driving her but jealousy. He tells her to mind her own business, but she says he's just like Soo Young, they should be more caring about their junior who wants to shag them.[They have many juniors what makes you so special] Joon Ha says if she has any questions she should ask Min herself. Hee Sun doesn't want to, but Min turns up at that moment and claws are unsheathed again. Min wins this round and leaves with Joon Ha.

Back home, Bo Ri wants English lesson. But Min thinks she needs more playtime. But Bo Ri is adamant, so Min lets her. They talk about her getting a man, which makes Min remember kissing Soo's chest.

Soo is at home reading Min's proposals. He remembers the period conversation he heard. The skin Min kissed itches. He rubs it in irritation. But he still finds the memory amusing.

In the morning, on his way to work he sees his GKP colleagues doing their public apology. Sang Soo asks why he doesn't join them. Soo Young ignores Sang Soo and continues reading his documents. The traffic stops them right in front of the idiot brigade who notice him. Bo Shik tells Soo Young to come down and join them, but he pretends he doesn't notice them. When they all pipe up, he taunts them and drives off.

The bill is allowed to pass by the high court. GKP are happy. But Daddykins thinks that with public opinion at an all time low, it would be best to call the leaders of the FPP and the PLP for a party to promote unity. Min Young is insulted that the FPP guys would want to go, but the FPP are like that kid always trying too hard to join the popular group. They talk about losing public confidence, but Dong Sook says that they lost public confidence a long time ago. Anyway, Min Young is not joining the GKP at the salon party. She storms out in a huff. Ko Dong Sook chastises her for not playing the game, you need to give a little to get a little so she is going to the party to represent.

At the party Daddykins is a good talker, for the cost of a dry mouth he is able to convince Harlot King of the FPP [which ain't hard] and Ko Dong Sook. The party starts in earnest.

Soo Young is kendo-ing with Sang Soo.[Why do they all have similar sounding names.] Sang Soo asks him if he's head about the High Court ruling. Soo agrees that it was like joke. He wonders if that woman is okay. Sang Soo hears woman and asks Soo if he was dating someone in secret. Soo attacks him, but in the middle of it Sang Soo's phone rings. It's for Soo.

Min is depressed at home, her phone rings.  [There phones must be standard issue by government 'cos they all use the same phones.] It's Dong Sook calling her over, it's apparently an emergency.

Min Young arrives at the scene, and meets Soo Young at the entrance. They both go in. They are greeted by their drunk fellow reps. They get handed drinks. Go calls them to come and do a love shot. Is Daddykins trying to matchmake or is there something more nefarious in this request?
Min is filled with righteous anger, takes a swig and throws the glass over Daddykins' head, she insults and preaches at them and leaves.
They send Bo Shik after her but Soo stops him, Daddykins said to let it go. He asks Soo if he wants to stay or go. Soo chooses to leave. When he gets out, he goes looking for Min. Daddykins is not pleased.

Soo finds Min, the episode ends.

Conlusion:
I laughed, and did not get a headache. That is a good thing. Shin Ha Kyun outshines most of his colleagues in this show, especially Lee Min Jung and except for the guys who are Da Ryong and Meng. I see mean old men in his grey years. Either that he's talented or I'm blinded by love. I think it's both.
