Gye-eul had to leave since Seo Hyun Ji had asked for a meeting. He didn’t want her to change her mind as getting Chinese investment was difficult. If they could win the investment and entry into the Chinese market, their profits would soar.
The meeting was at an elegant roastery café.
‘You’ve arrived.’ she said in greeting from behind the bar. She was wearing a feminine wrap dress under a frilly ivory apron. Her hair and make-up were designed to make her look alluring.
Gye-eul looked at her get-up in puzzlement.
‘Ah,’ she laughed a little, ‘I love coffee, so I opened a few cafés. My main branch is back in Beijing, and I also have this branch, and in Tokyo, Hong Kong, Singapore and Taipei.’ (Zuben: Much wow! Much impress!)
‘With Tencent?’ he asked as he took a seat at the shiny bar.
‘No. My own business.’ She said with a relaxed aura around her. She waited for a glass kettle to boil. Once the kettle flicked off, she carried it and a drip pot before Gye-eul.
‘What kind of coffee do you like?’
‘Hmm, strong flavour like mocha matari.’ Gye-eul replied.
Hyun-ji nodded as though she expected that answer and turned to the shelf behind her to get the beans.
He remained silent as he watched her brew the coffee.
‘I’ll be coming to your office tomorrow to sign the contract. But today, I wanted to have casual cup of coffee with you, CEO Cha.’
Gye-eul’s eyebrows rose in surprise, ‘We’ve been approved?’ he asked.
She smiled and nodded.
Gye-eul gave a victorious smile. This had been something he had been working hard for in the past year, to have it come to fruition was very satisfying.
‘Based on the data that you have provided regarding the past year, Florence has shown a lot of growth, and there is also a lot of potential. But I was convinced of Florence’s merits when I met you, CEO Cha.’ (Zuben: Because I immediately wanted to hump your leg)
She placed a steaming cup of black coffee before Gye-eul. He picked it up and took a sip, giving an appreciative nod after. She smiled. She liked his handsome visage, and straight forward manner. He really made her curious about him, wanting to get to know him more. She felt a thrill of excitement when she looked at him.
‘It tastes good.’ He said.
Her smile widened into a grin.
‘To be very honest, I am very interested in you, CEO Cha.’
