Babo Besties' Impure Relationship II

"If my 'running commentary' annoys you, takes you out of the story, so on and so forth; walk on by. Like my people say - e no be by force. There are many of us in this market. There are many translators who do things cleanly. But as a human, there are many instances we have to take what we want in conjunction with what we don't want. But if that is an unacceptable compromise, simply move on.

03 Shattering
Gye-eul tossed the thick book he had been pretending to read on the coffee table. He had got a text from Lee Jun-ho: I’m on a date with Yira. Thanks, friend. I’ll treat you later.
The message grated on Gye-eul’s nerves. He was angry at her for going out with another man, even though she had shouted that she loved him. If she was going to behave this way, why did she tell him she loved him?
It was already past ten. He rose, frowning as he went to the balcony, from where he could see the main gate. A car came to stop in front of the gate: Jun-ho’s. He watched Yira get out of the car, and he went down to meet her. As Gye-eul crossed the lawn, she was opening the gate and entering the compound. She didn’t see him coming.
‘Hey, did you go out with Jun-ho?’
Yira jumped.
He watched her. His hands were in his pockets, clenched into fists.
‘Get off my case.’
‘What?’
‘A landlord shouldn’t be poke-nosing into the private life of their tenant.’ She said before continuing on to the stairway that led to her apartment on the second floor. Technically, the house was owned by Gye-eul’s parents. He had asked Yira to come and live with him. She hadn’t wanted to, but somehow the situation ended up like this. She regretted it. No matter how much Gye-eul’s parents had told her it was okay, and she should live in ease, she shouldn’t have accepted it even if it meant she had to eat and sleep in a public sauna.
‘You made all that noise, and now you want me to stop bothering you?’ he shouted at her back.
Yira keyed in her door code. Ignoring him, she entered, but he followed her inside.
‘What are you doing in here? Leave!’ She glared at him invading her space. But Gye-eul didn’t mind her, he acted at home and went to her fridge. He took out a bottle of water and drank.
When he finished, he asked, ‘Be honest; are you angry at me?’
‘Get out.’
‘This is my house; why should I leave?’
‘Doesn’t landlord know that if you’re in your tenant’s home without permission it can be reported as a home invasion?
‘Oh yeah, Hong Yira? You go and try.’
He had no intention of leaving.
‘I need you to leave. I want to change.’
He was always so annoying. She had stomached that nonsense for the past twenty years, enough was enough.
‘So? You can take off your clothes. I wouldn’t blink an eye if you paraded about naked in front of me.’ (Zuben: wanna bet?)
Yira began to unbutton her blouse. She held his gaze as she undid one button after the other.
