I don't remember Shin Ha Kyun being this buff in All about my romance. In fact he was positively scrawny! Did they photoshop a male bodybuilding model under his head? Are we really expected to believe he's 34? My lust for him aside, with all those well lived lines on his face, the guy looks like he's in his mid 40s ¬.¬
Anyhoo Episode 2 takes us back a few hours during the life-death. The driver makes it out, somehow and calls 911. As the injured pair are rescued, the car explodes and a shit ton of money is in the air. Emergency service people act like sane human beings and take it. Why was there a bajillion won in his trunk? Me thinks shify business is underfoot.
Some dude calls shifty lawyer Jang Yi-gun - were they trying to keep him mysterious? 'Cos his long noggin gives him away. Suited henchman tells Evil Lawyer about the accident, he didn't have to get his hands dirty after all.
Back home in his bed, his extended family are circling like vultures but Choi Snr spoils the show by waking up alert and cranky. Choi Jnr is worried, I can't decide if he's faking or for real. He's such an arse.
After the leave him in peace, Choi Snr takes his bath of rejuvenation.And comes out looking buffed and tanned. The Space Sunbed is the shizzle!
Ha Soo leaves the emergency room, and calls Choi Jnr. He tells her to come to his house to give him the necklace.
She is told to wait but ends up seeing Choi Snr in all his nude glory, thinking it is Choi Jnr. She splits because just moving to a side where you don't see dong is not good enough. Anyway she drops the meteor necklace in her hasty exit. Choi Jnr chases after but she's a fast one

Choi Snr is discovering his awesome bod. Ha Kyun was definitely not this buff or tan in AAMR. I can't decide whether they want the Korean ladies to be fanning themselves or looking away because it was turning into a bit of a masturbatory moment. He gets a gander at his junk and a smile on his face that indicates his pickle is now a gherkin. But gotta love Ha Kyun's not giving a fuck about his nudity, maybe he was wearing flesh coloured seamless underoos. Still he totally sold it.
Ha Soo returns home just as her family are watching the news about the accident. They think she's a ghost for a bit.
Sidebar: it's kinda funny because people from my patch of planet also have that myth of people coming home to eat and sleep even though they have just died in an accident or somewhere else suddenly. They are joyful she is well. She goes to her room and finds the neckrope is missing. That's what happens when you behave like a dingbat. That being said, the doll house bathroom is in an odd place. How does it make sense to have the door to the bath near the private receiving area?
Choi Snr is watching the news as well. He is perplexed about the money being in his car. Whilst hiding from his household staff he finds the necklace Ha Soo dropped. The next morning the police are about. They go to Ha Soo's house as well as the doll's mansion. Choi Snr sees them and makes a getaway. Here, Shin Ha Kyun tries to tell Korea that he's kind of an exhibitionist, but I do find it hard to believe his man-dangles were on display on set. All the staff wait till the police get to the old man's door before putting up a meagre fight. the humourless popos barge into the room, the lawyer does not look convincingly incensed.
Choi Snr has made it to a family restaurant getting a gander at some puppies
(a figurative pair), and behaves like an old fuddy duddy about it. He is one. His son calls but he doesn't answer instead he goes to see his doctor, but gets thrown in the Psych ward cos who's gonna believe a man who was close to death is now a hot young thing. He does somersaults
(overgrown child) and escapes, gets new clothes and struts about. It is a wonder why there were no females or select males sticking to him in seconds, he is so hot. I am not afraid to admit I get lady-boner for Shin Ha Kyun.
He ends up back at his resort hotel and finds Ha Soo being harassed by reporters, because falling in a sink hole is something you plan. He rescues her from them. They fight and go separate ways. Choi Snr runs into Choi Jnr, he wonders if he should tell his son of this new found youth. But he abstains not wanting to be called a crazy man again.
Choi Jnr meets Ha Soo and she tells him that she's lost the necklace. He's throwing is power around but she aint having non of that. She avoids him and he asks why, she tells him she saw him nekkid at the house. She returns to Hong who gives her job back. Choi Jnr gets Sexy Manager Hong to make her is assistant/errand girl.
Choi Snr meets with his non sexy manager Sung. Choi Snr manages to convince Sung of his identity with a convenient mock employee abuse, when embarrassing personal stories did work.
Choi Snr's brother and his wife had hatched a plan to get away with billions of won. They had an accomplice that was going to put the money in their car. But something happened aka Shifty Lawyer, and the money was put in Choi Snr's car instead. Intentional obvs. When they got to their car the money was not there. Now they know it's been burnt so they are shitting themselves.
In the meantime, Choi Snr and his assistant are investigating what happened the night before. CCTV shows a villain planting stuff in his car. But views of the shifty guy are blocked by Ha Soo driving her van around like a moppet. Choi Jnr comes in and finds Choi Snr New and Improved. He remembers Ha Soo telling him of some naked dude in his house. He sees the dude roaming around the hotel on CCTV and somehow the press had CCTV footage of the doll-house with Choi Snr roaming about wearing his dad's clothes. He gives chase. Choi Snr hides in a laundry basket and meets Ha Soo getting the laundry to the collection van. Choi Snr tells her he wants to talk to her and drags her in with him and they ride off on the van. Choi Jnr tries to chase them.

It seems to me that Shifty lawyer and his cronies are trying to bring down the Choi family with fraud allegations. The money was planted in the trunk along with an item that would ignite on impact for example a staged car accident., or it could have been a time bomb. Poor Choi Snr he wanted the Lawyer for a son, he doesn't realise the dude is trying to pull the Italian rug from under him. I guess it is hard work in a way.
Seriously though, even his first name is not Baek?!
