President Choi is about to die. He can feel the angels of death circling like sharks in the ocean when they smell blood.
It's his birthday and it's a special present competition from the extended family. His son is weighted down by the burdens of his absurd wealth and what he has to do to keep it in the family. Sensitive soul, hasn't had to go hungry. I suppose when you haven't been held back by the chains of poverty, you think the grass is greener on the other side. His birthday present is quite spectacular. Even the chairman is impressed until it turns into a little curse and he has a mini angina episode. And his doctor give him some ibruprofen
Pressy Choi has a sexy secretary whose legs go up to her ears lol. The family lawyer is into her, but she must sense the dark side in him 'cos she's not into him. He is also an arsehole that sites bad rumours as reason for a chick to date him.
Long story short, old man and super kind young lady meet. He's mean to her but she resists with kindness, nothing new here. But old man kinda falls for young girl. with dreams and everything. Like a kid, he keeps his gift of a minty hard candy and his repaired glasses.
Ha-soo has strange ideas about how old people should be dignified and magnanimous. pfft.
Anyway she and her friend/sister, get a job at Choi's hotel, but she gets into an indecent pose with Choi Jnr which Choi Snr sees and gets her fired on her first day. Choi Jnr loses a necklace, that he makes Ha-Soo try to find in exchange for getting her job back. She finds the necklace.
It's the night of a meteor shower, one caused by a comet no less. How mystical. Instead of traipsing to the countryside like proper amateur astromoners, the views sit on the well lit banks of the Han river to watch a meteor shower over an blinging city. Good luck with that.
Anyway,
spesh meteor shower/ lunar eclipse of magic -cos you know when two common astronomical phenomenon occur at the same time, the shit is about to go down, causes an earth quake that results in a sink hole that Choi Snr and Ha Soo fall into. Choi Snr eats a 'meteor' instead of his pills as he takes his final breath. The angels have arrived. He begs to be returned but they aint listening. But Ha Soo grabs onto him 'cos you know an unconsious man can help your bleeding self, but yeah, this is fantasy - sensibility shut up. The necklace Choi Jnr wants also has a meteorite on it, it drags Snr back from the brink of no-more.
They are rescued and separately taken to hospital. He's all fine and dandy. She's bleeding and stuff. He goes back home, takes a bath, drowns and becomes a hottie. One of my favourites too. Its a good thing he has no qualms with showing ass on TV^^
Well I'm going to watch it cos of Shin Ha Kyun, he does cute and crazy well. I feel I should be asking serious questions like; how did the jelly bean meteor get on the son's necklace? How did the space jelly beans connect and bring him back from afterlife? But know all I can think about it the premise is so stupid. But its Shin Ha Kyun he'll make it fun^^... I hope.
