When Rabbit Met Wolf: 5 and 6
pinterest. |
5 I have a disease:
Unfortunately, it was a waste of effort for Zhen Zhen. It
wasn’t that Tutu didn’t want to read it; it was that her phone rang an internal
call.
‘Xiao Tu, planning department.’
‘Miss Xiao, have you forgotten? Please bring over the
summary quickly.’
He hung up before she could reply.
Rabbit was galvanised into action. She combed her long curly hair, changed to her heels before rushing to catch the lift up to the
director’s floor.
Fucking wolf, didn’t even give her a chance to breathe. It
wasn’t as though he didn’t know when she started work! And she was going to
give it to him, why did he have to call?! Ah! (Zuben: he’s already missing your
cute face?)
At least she got to see the beautiful secretary again. But
it wasn’t good to be exposed to beautiful things too much.
Follow the same procedure as yesterday, knock on the door,
enter the office, close the door, raise you head.
Damn, still fascinated by this damned wolf’s aura.
Alas, she had to admit his face really…how to say it…I don’t
know how to say it…handsome doesn’t even cut it.
Xiao Tu stepped forward and put the summary document before
him on his desk.
Wow, no pores.
‘Director, here is the comprehensive summary of the projects
in progress that you requested yesterday.’
She didn’t want any money, just seeing this is enough.
(Zuben: shakes head. Hook, line and sinker)
‘Good.’ Lang Lang picked up the document and flipped through
it.
Most people would have left after handing over their
document. Who stood staring like Xiao Tu? Lang Lang realised she hadn’t moved
and looked up at her.
His eyes met Xiao Tu’s intense stare.
But the silly rabbit hadn’t noticed, in her mind she had
just taken off his shirt, there were still many things to do.
‘Miss Xiao? Miss Xiao…?’ he called, finally startling her
out of her daydream.
Xiao Tu jumped, and quickly swallowed.
Wow, just now it’s M, his strong little x, so happy.
‘Sorry, Director, I just ran away from god. I went to bed a
little late last night, heh. If there is nothing else, I’ll return to my work.’
Xiao Tu nodded and was about to turn away, when he called her back.
‘Drink this before you go.’
She turned around and there was a steaming cup of coffee on
the desk.
Wow! Was he okay? Did he buy a coffee for her?
This time, she dared not verbalise her silly thoughts. She
had learned her lesson this morning. (Zuben: Have you really?) But if he wasn’t
interested why would he have coffee for her? (Zuben: You have not)
Xiao Tu looked at the coffee, the scent and colour were
really appetising, but she was a person of principle!
‘Director, this coffee…you…me…eh heh…’
‘Let me tell you, Linda made this coffee for my visitor, but
they did not drink it. I don’t like waste, so I am giving you to drink.’
Really challenging my tolerance limit! How cruel! Giving me
so that it wouldn’t go to waste?! If she treated him like she was a good person
again, she was sick!
She angrily picked up the coffee and gulped it down. She put
down the cup with clatter, licked the dropped around her mouth.
Well, it was still warm and a tasty cup of coffee. The
visitor didn’t know what they were missing.
What, no matter how tasty the coffee was, she must not
forget this insult!
She looked up at him with a joyless smile that crinkled her
eyes, ‘I’m done. I’ll be going.’
And turn, and walk away. Perfect~
Careful thoughts of the Wolf:
Yesterday, he made her miserable. This morning, he had noted
her puffy eyes and dark circles so, before he called her up,
‘Linda, make me a cup of Blue Mountain, and not too hot.’
🐺🐰
When Zhen-zhen saw Tutu return looking even more dejected,
she quickly rolled her chair over,
‘Tutu, why are you dejected? Was he not satisfied with your
work?’
She rested her head on Zhen-zhen’s shoulder, ‘Alas…’
‘But why is he paying so much attention to your project, but
doesn’t bother with anyone else’s?’
‘Alas…’
‘Rabbit, please don’t do that. Cheer up!’
‘Alas…’
Zhen Zhen looked down at Tutu’s glum face, ‘Xiao Tu, are you
going to sigh the whole building down?! It’s not like it’s the first time
you’ve been dumped! You’re the best! I’ve found a match-making website for you.
After work, we’ve go shopping for new clothes, and then have a blind date
tomorrow.’
‘Zhen Zhen, I don’t think…’
‘Nonsense, I can’t stand seeing you so blue day after day.
In a word, go or go?’
Er, was that even a choice? Well, she supposed it was better
to go, and let other men ease her broken heart.
‘Go!’
The two women hugged each other moved by their camaraderie.
Their compatriots in the department all cast sympathetic
looks at old woman Comrade Tu, and began to gossip amongst themselves and to
other departments.
Sister Tu is lovelorn again. (Zuben: Stinky wolf is going to
hear about this, isn’t he?)
6 Respect yourself.
Wow, her legs ached.
Saturday morning dawned, and Rabbit Xiao lay in bed
massaging her aching legs. She thought of last night’s shopping marathon, she
didn’t know where she and Zhen Zhen got the vitality from; rush from work to
eat a quick dinner, then five hours going from one mall to the next, not
leaving till closing time, to find a dress for the date.
Just one dress.
Ah, she wanted to buy more but no money.
Thinking of the new dress, she jumped out of bed to look at
it once more. It was a black chiffon dress with a pink floral pattern. It had a
modest v-neck and elbow length sleeves with a little puff. She held it in front
of her body and twirled left and right.
But it’s not enough. She quickly took off her pyjamas, and
put the dress on.
Wow, so beautiful! Turn left and see. Turn right and see.
Spin around. Comrade Xiao felt very beautiful, intoxicated with herself.
‘Once a thousand years, I have no regrets, once a thousand
years…’
Her phone rang knocking her out of her self-enchantment. She
quickly went back to her bed to get it.
It was from a number she didn’t have saved on her phone. Who
was this so early in the morning, ah?!
‘Hello?’
‘Hey, it’s me.’
You who? Who are you?
‘Um, do you have the wrong number?’
‘No.’
Who the hell are you then?!
‘Sorry, but I don’t know you.’
‘It’s me.’ (Zuben: Wolf, you know saying “it’s me” doesn’t
really help right? Someone else would have hung up on you!)
This voice sounded familiar…who was it? Who? Who? It’s that motherfucking
wolf!
‘Director, it’s you! Ha ha.’
‘Yes.’
Shit, what is this guy playing at? Does he think he’s such a
big deal he can’t say who he is?!
‘What can I do for you, sir?’
‘Open the door.’
Open the door? Open what door? Was he at her door? Tutu ran
to her front door, and looked through the cat’s eye. Lang Lang?!
‘Director, what…?’
‘Open the door right now!’
How dare you command me! I’ll show you today!
‘I’m sorry, sir, but today is a weekend, and I am not
working overtime, I don’t have to do what you say. I won’t open the door.
Please go back quickly.’
He wanted to strangle this rabbit.
‘Oh, so today is a weekend, but sooner or later you have to
go back to work, or does Miss Xiao not want to continue working? I’ll go.’
Can you say it’s not a threat? Can you say it’s not a naked
threat?!
Comrade Tu sighed defeatedly, and put up the white flag. She
opened the saw to his handsome face.
She lowered her head, ‘Director…’
After waiting for a time, he didn’t say anything. She looked
up to see him looking down at her dress.
Hope he didn’t think she was mad wearing such an outfit so
early in the morning? (Zuben: More like the wolf wants to hump your leg)
‘Ahem, I was afraid I had bought the wrong size, so I was
trying it on. So, I could go and change it if it was wrong, it was expensive –
ha ha.’
‘Hm, it’s more pleasing to the eye than your usual get-up.
You normally look thirty-five, now you look thirty-two.’
Thirty-two?! Only three years younger? I’ll have you know I
am twenty-six, okay!! Despite her internal anger, Tutu hung her head.
Lang Lang looked down at her; her long curly hair was dishevelled
but with the dress, he was moved. He grabbed her hand and led her out and down
the stairs. (Zuben: Em, appropriate shoes?)
‘What? Where are we going? I haven’t locked my door!’
Lang Lang stopped but didn’t let go of her hand.
Was this guy trying to do something again? I am not
following his nonsense today.
‘Director, can you tell me what it is you want? If it is to
carry stuff, can I change my clothes?’
‘No moving, no need to change.’ He said before continuing to
drag her down the stairs.
‘But Director, where are we going? I have plans for this
evening.’ She protested, still holding on to the railings.
Lang Lang couldn’t budge her, so he asked, ‘What time is it
right now?’
‘Nine in the morning.’
Lang Lang continued to drag her down the stairs.
‘Director, I have something to do today.’
He stopped, ‘Your plans are in the evening, it’s morning.
There is so much time in between. What are you afraid of? Or do you want me to
visit your place?’
Tutu, let go of the railings one by one, and followed him
into the car.
‘So where are we going?’ she asked.
‘You decide.’
Huh? Is his brain alright? All systems working? Brain fart!
Run to my place early in the morning to drag me out to make me decide where we
are going?!
‘Y…you don’t know where we are going?’
‘I’ve only just moved to M City, I want to see the sights.
You pick.’
Is that it? What a waste of time, saliva and strength.
‘Let’s go to Brilliant Park, there is a big artificial lake.
It’s one of the scenic spots in the city.
‘Sounds good.’
As he drove, Tutu’s two villains appeared again.
Villain 1: Not going on a date on the weekend, but comes to
find me to play – definitely fun for me.
Villain 2: Why is it that you don’t learn your lesson?
Villain 1: Why didn’t he go find someone else? There are
many people he could ask.
Villain 2: Maybe he wants to find a way to bully you again.
Don’t forget your feud.
The park was crowded at the weekend, many people in line at the
gates to enter. She got out of the car, and told him, ‘I’ll go buy tickets.’
But he came up to her and took her hand, ‘We’ll go
together.’
Tutu looked down at his hand holding hers stupidly; Villain
2, what do you have to say about this then?’
Lang Lang looked down at her stunned face and said, ‘I don’t
know the way, and I don’t want to lose you in the crowd.’
Ahh, this reason is quite logical, but why couldn’t she
shake the feeling he was eating her tofu. (Zuben: Because he is)
They bought tickets like a pair of little lovers, and
entered the park. But once they got to a quieter area, he let go.
Ah, can you stop hurting me from now on? Does he want to
fight? Take more revenge? No way! I have to play nice!
‘Director, it’s nice here, isn’t it?’
‘Yes.’
‘Haha, Director, are you hot? Shall I go and buy you a cold
drink?’
‘No.’
'Oh yes, you have such noble taste, Director, you can’t be
seen eating popsicles – haha.’
‘Xiao Tu.’
‘Yes, Director?’
‘We’re not at the office, you don’t need to call me director,
just use my name.’
How dare I?
‘Lang…Lang. Lang…Lang. Lang Lang.’ Wolfie! Haha, it is true,
the more you call the smoother it becomes. There is nothing I can’t do in this
world, she beamed with pride.
‘The lake is beautiful, let’s go boating.’ He suggested.
Since the beautiful man has proposed, she had no reason so
say no.
So, they headed to the jetty, and embarked on a frog shaped
boat under the aesthetic choice of Comrade Tu.
When they got into the boat, they thought of a serious
problem and looked at each other in askance, ‘Can you row?’
‘No. You?’
‘Nope.’
Tutu was aghast. But they had come aboard, so they must
carry on. How had was it to do anyway?
Tutu volunteered to jump into the role of captain, and began
to pedal. The boat began to move. Oh, it’s not hard. But what about the
steering? There were a lot of people on the lake and they might collide
Lang Lang was near the steering wheel but he didn’t take it.
Was it too hard for him?
Suddenly, there was a hard thump that caused the world to
spin around Xiao Tu.
When she came to her senses, she found herself clinging to
Lang Lang. She looked up at his handsome face.
Wow, his eyes were really attractive. His skin looks so
soft. Why did he smell so good? His warm breath sprayed on her face, and she
didn’t want to let go.
She noticed he was looking down past her. She followed his
gaze to see her dress was rolled up. How did this happen? Her thighs were
visible for the world to see.
‘You dirty wolf.’ She shouted as she struggled to get up.
‘Miss Xiao, be reasonable. The other boats collided into us,
and you fell on me. I didn’t move.’ (Zuben: Somehow I doubt that you didn’t
contribute to this situation)
Xiao Tu ignored him and tried to get up but the space was
too small for her to push away. And she felt something hot.
The stinky wolf growled, ‘Don’t move.’
She stopped.
‘Sorry, I didn’t mean to hurt you. I’ll rub it for you.’ She
said as she reached down to where she felt the heat.
Er…I see. This perverted wolf! She hit him there.
‘You stinky perverted wolf! How could you get turned on?
You’re a pervert!’
Lang Lang grabbed her hands to stop her from hitting him,
‘Miss Xiao, couldn’t you just talk? I am a normal man. It was you who threw
yourself onto me for no reason.’ (Zuben: It wasn’t no reason)
‘How long are you going to stick to me?’
‘How wants to stick to you? I just can’t get up. Can you
give me a hand?’
‘I will, but don’t say I am taking advantage. Women have to
respect themselves as well. My reputation is very important.’
Xiao Tu was rendered speechless. She wanted to beat this
dead man up. But she had to get up first.
‘Please help.’
Lang Lang held her by her waist. She could feel the heat of
his hands though her dress. Her thighs were around his body. Her hand gripped
his shirt. She could smell his fragrance. How could this generation’s woman,
Xiao Tu, bear it?
She blushed.
Finally, Lang Lang lifted her and put her down. The boat
rocked and she fell on him again.
‘I am sorry. I didn’t stand firm,’ she said quickly
Lang Lang looked cold, but didn’t look at her.
‘Forget it,’ he said, ‘Pay attention next time. Don’t express
your enthusiasm casually. It’s not good for a woman. I won’t mind you this
time.’
…😲
Was he trying to imply she was intentionally eating his tofu?
Ah, she’s wronged.
Although she was a yellow girl, she had quality!
It wasn’t her fault this time!
