41 You did it Intentionally:

Just as they were about to enter the lift, the phone rang. Seeing her silly smile, Lang Lang knew who it was, but he also now understood that being jealous and angry would make Xiao Tu go into a cold war with him which would give Shao Yu an advantage. So he decided to be more magnanimous in the from now on.

‘Yu-gege! I’m fine. Haha, my drinking capacity is too bad. Hehe…I’m going out to eat? Who am I going with? It’s…’ Xiao Tu hesitated unsure of what to say when she felt Lang Lang hugging her. She looked up at him, to see him smiling at her – reversing sentient beings! When he smiled those eyes became even more vivid as though she could be sucked into them.

Xiao Tu was stunned forgetting she was on the phone.

Seeing Xiao Tu staring at him so enraptured her mouth hung open made him feel gratified.

Ha! Do you have my ability, Shao Yu-gege? I can turn her brain upside down, can you? Fight me and see. (Author: Is seems Director Lang still doesn’t understand his Xiao Tu. She cannot resist any handsome guy. Zuben: Hmmhm.)

Lang Lang was in cloud nine, his sense of superiority overcame everything, and he no longer hated his romantic rival. He pinched her face and pointed her back to the phone.

Xiao Tu quickly spoke again, ‘Yu-gege, hello? I’m sorry I vanished – I er… went to pee. Hehe, I’m sorry. What were we saying? Me? Going out to eat. Hehe, just with Director. Why don’t you come with us? Ouch! What are you pinching me for? It hurts!’ she got distracted off her call again. She glared at Lang Lang,

‘I just massaging you. I’m afraid I hurt you last night, and just wanted to help you rub it. Sorry, I was a bit too strong.’

Xiao Tu blushed, and went back to her phone, realising that Ye-gege would have heard everything. Oh my god! How shameful!

‘That…Yu-gege…you just…didn’t hear anything just now? (Author: I really sympathise with Comrade Shao Yu dealing with such a heartless, inexperienced master; how could it be good. Zuben: He’s the one who should learn how to read the room.)

‘Oh that’s good! That’s good. Hehe. Zhen Zhen? I just spoke to her. She seems a bit out of whack; she was still asleep! Yu-ge? Zhen Zhen? Oh okay, bye!’

Shao Yu hung up and Xiao Tu stared at her phone curiously. Today was very weird; Zhen Zhen was weird, Shao Yu was weird. He sounded worried about Zhen Zhen, did something happen to her?

Lang Lang also thought something was going on, but he couldn’t care less. Right now, holding onto Tutu and going out to have fun was the most important thing.

Lang Lang put his arm around Xiao Tu’s shoulder and called the lift again. Who knows why Xiao Tu misunderstood when she saw his expression face thinking he was angry, when they got into the lift, as Lang Lang was about to press for the basement car pack, she quickly pressed the ground floor.

‘How about we take the subway? I’ll treat you. I haven’t taken the subway for a long time. Speak to agree, don’t say anything if you disagree.’

Looking down at Xiao Tu’s flattering smile, her face like a flower, Lang Lang immediately felt an impulse surge through his body. Damn it, its not that I’ve been supressing it for too long, how could he be in heat anytime anywhere?! To cover up his embarrassment, Lang Lang looked at her seriously, ‘Xiao Tu, doesn’t the subway stop quite close to work? Why don’t you take the subway usually?’

Xiao Tu batted her lashes over her large eyes as she replied, ‘Ah well, aha, I’m not lazy, it takes five minutes to walk to the subway.’ She looked away to hide her guilt. She definitely didn’t want Lang Lang to know the reason why she didn’t want to take the subway was because she was cheap; she’d been troubled by the difference of a few cents between the monthly subway pass and the monthly bus pass. When it comes to Comrad Xiao Tu’s love for money, and stinginess, it was really confusing to hear. In the end, she bravely set on the road to take the bus despite Zhen Zhen’s blind eyes. In fact, Xiao Tu didn’t live far from work, it was only five stops on the subway. She didn’t have to wake up early, and she wouldn’t arrive late. But there was no direct bus route, and the route she took went round the houses before it reached the company. (Zuben: God she’s an idiot)

Her story had been told to all and sundry. A boyfriend broke up with her because of her nonsense.

So this time, Xiao Tu was willing to spend a lot of money, and blood, to take Lang Lang on the subway, could be considered a sincere apology.

Lang Lang didn’t notice because he was also feeling guilty about his arousal. Xiao Tu saw Lang Lang’s expression didn’t change, so she grabbed his hand with both hands and swung it with a smile, ‘Wolfie, let me tell you a joke: Do you know why crossing bridge noodles are more expensive than ordinary rice noodles? Do you? Because the price contains a bridge toll fee! Ha haha ha! So funny!’

She laughed so hard she couldn’t contain herself.

Seeing Lang Lang stare as though he didn’t get it, she continued to strive, (Zuben: Ah Xiao Tu, you’re making it worse), ‘You didn’t find that one funny? Okay, I’ll give you another one! Get ready, so you don’t pee yourself later! Hua Mulan led the army to battle, but unexpectedly began her period, menstrual cramps and shed too much blood, and fainted before the battle. When she woke up, the doctor was by herself with her, he said bitterly, ‘General, we cannot speak of your injury, but I sewed it up for you! Hahaha, I can’t do it anymore, so funny! So funny!’  (Zuben: I think this one is lost in translation, cos I’m with Lang Lang here)

As they walked out of the lift, she noticed Lang Lang was still no smiling, she began to grumble, ‘It’s funny, you’re not laughing on purpose, right? You’re doing it on purpose! I don’t want to talk to you.’

Just as she was about to trump forth by herself, Lang Lang caught her back, ‘Why are you walking so fast?’

Xiao Tu pouted, ‘Hm! I hate you! I don’t want to go out with you anymore!’

Lang Lang poked her puffed up cheeks, (Zuben: Reminiscent of an overfed hamster) ‘Let’s go buy clothes.’ (Zuben: Bribery and corruption – I like it!)

Xiao Tu didn’t quite get it, ‘Buy clothes? What clothes? Let me be frank, I’m famous for my lack of taste, so I cannot help you choose.’ She carried on with her nose pointing in the air.

Lang Lang shook his head, ‘No Foolish, I’m buying you nice clothes. Do you want to come or…?’

Xiao Tu was no longer arrogant in an instant and excitedly grabbed his hand and shook it up and down, ‘Let’s go! Go! Go!’ She jumped around and ran in circles, howling, ‘New clothes! Yeah!’

Lang Lang smiled at her antics, and continued forward, his expression was filled with indescribable indulgence. The cold war these last few days made him feel very flustered. Today, all was finally well.

(Zuben: Until she gets angry again)

42 Is it so hard?

Xiao Tu stood before the self-service ticket machine tightly gripping the four coins in her hand, unwilling to let go. (Zuben: Should have just taken the car then)

Lang Lang watched her silly miserly expression staring at the coin slot, as though she was about to swallow the machine, he smiled and casually said, ‘I’ll buy the tickets.’

But when he reached into his pocket for his wallet, Xiao Tu stopped him, gritted her teeth, closed her eyes, and quickly put the coins in,

‘Hehe, it’s fine. I can afford this little money. Just be happy~~~’

Xiao Tu gave him a flattering smile. Staring up at his charming face, that turned all sentient beings upside down, and she instantly felt the four yuan was worth it. It was worth it! If Lang Lang were a woman in his past like, he would have provoked disputes between two countries. Disaster! Flood! Even in modern time, he would have caused many problems if he was a she.

Lang Lang looked down at Xiao Tu staring at him in a daze, nodding from time to time, he figured she was plotting something about him in her head.

He took her hand and walked down the concourse to the gates. Xiao Tu scratched her head, ‘Have you ever taken the subway before? Why does it feel like you’re more familiar than I am?’

‘I haven’t. I just read the signs.’ He replied lightly.

┐(┘)┌ I’m just a smart guy, Xiao Tu, how dare you disdain me? Ah forget it, I won’t argue with you. You just need to know how smart I am, I’m not showing off. Oh yeah! (Zuben: This is a tale full of lunatics)

Because it was a weekend, there were a lot of people taking the trains, as such, the area around the gates was crowded and chaotic. Lang Lang held Xiao Tu closely as they inched closer to the gates. After the finally got throught, Xiao Tu came out of Lang Lang’s arms and saw his high end burberry windbreaker was wrinkled. Xiao Tu decided she must have been sick to think about dragging Lang Lang through this mess and making him look like this. Xiao Tu felt guilty, and stared up at him with her mouth downturned and her large eyes blinking.

Lang Lang turned and saw her standing here like a poor person, staring timidly at him. He stoked her nose and asked, ‘What’s the matter now? Huh?’

Xiao Tu shook her head, unsure of how to explain her feelings, instead, she hugged him and said, ‘I’m sorry,’

Lang Lang could guess what his silly Tutu was thinking, but he didn’t want her to have such thoughts and alienate him. He hugged her waist with one hand and lifted her chin with the other, ‘Remember, I am just the same as you. So, don’t be sorry. Okay?’

Xiao Tu made a resolute face, and nodded.

Lang Lang knew with the wisdom of Xiao Tu, it would be impossible to talk to her properly, but he didn’t worry. He rubbed her head and whispered in her ear, ‘Did you hear what that couple that just passed by said?’

‘What did they say?’ she asked curiously, but seeing the ambiguous smile on his face she knew it wasn’t anything sensible, and immediately wanted to bite her tongue.

‘The woman told her husband to learn from you and me, it’s obvious that I love you so much.’

‘Ah, Lang Lang, I hate it! Stop talking!’ Xiao Tu pushed him away bashfully, as she blushed fiercely.

‘Why don’t you call me director now? Hmm? When you talk to your Yu-gege, you kept calling me director?’ Lang Lang was half teasing, half upset. Although he wanted to be magnanimous, he could help the sore spot.

‘Uh, that…’ Xiao Tu didn’t know what to see. She and Lang Lang had never formally declared they were dating, they were just together. It never occurred to her that she was Lang Lang’s girlfriend, and she was used to calling him “Director Lang”. It was only in heated moments she called him, Xiao Lang or Wolfie.

Lang Lang looked down at Xiao Tu bitterly, thinking she didn’t want to acknowledge their relationship to Shao Yu. He angrily let her go, ‘Is it so difficult to call me your boyfriend in front of him?’ He said before he turned to walk away.

But Xiao Tu caught him, ‘No, it’s not.’ She said, not caring if people stared at her. She pulled his head down and whispered, ‘Darling Wolfie.’

Feeling that she’d done all her heart could take, she was about to run off, but Lang Lang caught her in a hug and kissed her.

Xiao Tu was so ashamed that he was doing such a thing in public, then she thought, forget it, if she was ashamed, she didn’t have to take the subway anymore. Anyway, she couldn’t bear to part with the money...
